Home and Garden

Interior design and addition of construction to an existing house on a plot of 1000 square meter in a historic colony in the Galilee. The homeowners, who are alternative therapists, wanted to incorporate in their home an inner courtyard adjacent to a treatment pool and a clinic with a separate entrance. The existing original house contains two floors and the addition of construction is one level around a courtyard, where ancient trees grow next to the pool. The existing building is made of blocks and concrete, where the main entrance floor contains a living room, kitchen, children’s rooms and a shower. Downstairs, a treatment clinic has been designed with an intimate separate entrance and is located near the area accessible to the patient’s vehicle. The kitchen next to the backyard leads to a thin wooden terrace with an outdoor seating area. From the kitchen, there is a passage, a covered corridor, overlooking the garden of the ancient trees and the pool leading at its end to the structure of the separate master suite.

The aisle and the master suite are both the addition of the new building, which was designed and canopied with industrialized materials, which combine corrugated iron, glass and wooden boards. The spacious master suite overlooks the back of the main building and kisses the ancient tree garden that contains Mediterranean vegetation. The front of the house is elevated from the street level by a number of steps and along it is a light pergola with a floating floor that creates a light look to the building that is detached from the ground. The entire facade closes with a screen of wooden shutters, lobes, creating a uniform façade.
