House Around Patio

In this project, the Arabic house, as a constitutive element: A compound system of spaces which wraps around an inner courtyard. During the initial planning phase of the project it had been decided to observe this type of buildings with a special notice for the technological gaps and the changes that occurred between them as the years went by. This house is a white “box” which encloses within itself an inner court, with 3 of it’s walls facing outwards and the 4th one being faced towards the manège and the adjacent fields.

The entrance is located on the eastern wall of the house which goes through the inner court all the way to the front door of the house. The house has 3 different functions: In the center, the public situation – the living room, dining room and kitchen. On the sides – the guest hosting situation and the private master bedroom of the owner. Re-planning the house took into account a couple whom would live inside of compound which already includes two houses and a manège.
